This is Tess (she was with pups at the time this picture was taken) she is an awesome upland hunting dog. She is very sure of herself. I know when she's on a bird. She points great and retrieves everything. She even takes birds away from other dogs. She is six years old and has had two litters of Vizsla puppies.
I kept one of her Vizsla puppies(Sadi) from her first litter. Tess works hard. When I don't think there is a bird around, she'll find a bird in the strangest place - like hiding by a fallen branch next to a little tuft of grass. She pointed a pheasant in four inches of grass. It blew a friend of mine away. He walked over to Tess, got the rooster pheasant, and took it down. She is a lot of fun!
Yea pheasant, it's too late! You've been found!
October 2008 hunting near Zeeland, ND, Tess found a pheasant hiding in some cover. One morning around 8:30, Sadi and Tess pointed three rooster pheasants and two hens pheasants in a spot. I shot two of the roosters and didn't get a chance to shoot at the third pheasant. I got back into the truck and drove two miles down the road and shot my last bird by 9:30. We went back to the house, cleaned the pheasants, and sat and watched TV the rest of the day! "Three and out is what it's about!"
October 2008 another point! Tess thinks, "I can't get enough of this!"
